BOOKINGS & PAYMENT

Your booking is not confirmed and your place cannot be guaranteed until payment in full has been received.

On receipt of payment in full, you will be sent a booking confirmation email with detailed information about your activity, what you need to bring, timings etc.

When booking online workshops, a Zoom link will be sent you along with course information ahead of the workshop date. Please add studiomanager@greenislandstudios.co.uk to your list of safe senders or make sure you check your junk email for emails from this account. You can also use this email address for any queries. 

Contact Green Island Studios if you have any queries regarding booking arrangements or payment.

Payment is due in full 1 week before the activities commence.

 

CANCELLATIONS & CHANGES TO COURSE DATES

All cancellations must be in writing by email. Until the customer has received confirmation from us of the cancellation, the original booking remains valid.

We will endeavour to book you onto another course as the first option.  If the participant wishes to make a cancellation rather than an exchange of dates please see the cancellation charges below.

Cancellation charges are on the following basis:

if the cancellation takes place more than 30 days before the commencement date of the course, 100% of the total course fee will be refunded.

if the cancellation takes place within the period of 15 to 30 days before the commencement date of the course, 50% of the total course fee will be refunded.* 

Where cancellation takes place within the period of 14 days before the commencement date of the course, or where cancellation takes place on or after the commencement date of the course; 100% of the total course fee will be charged.*

*If a replacement booking can be obtained for the same date, the customer will be refunded 75% of their booking fee.

If weather conditions necessitate a cancellation, the workshop will be rescheduled to a mutually agreeable date.

Green Island Studios reserves the right to cancel workshops due to unforeseen circumstances, such as illness. In this instance all fees paid will be refunded to the customer if a suitable new date for the course cannot be agreed upon.

 

ACCESSIBILITY 

The participant must inform Green Island Studios at time of booking of any access requirements such as wheelchairs and any pre-existing medical conditions that may affect the participant's ability to participate in outdoor multi-terrain walking activities.

 

INSURANCE AND LIABILITY

It is the responsibility of the participants to ensure they have adequate insurance cover for themselves and their equipment. Green Island Studios is absolved of any and all liabilities arising from any and all claims if the customer is not adequately insured.

 

PARTICIPANT RESPONSIBILITIES

The customer acknowledges that they must be in good health and be fit and able to participate in the workshop or photo walk activity without unduly delaying proceedings for the tutors and other participants.

It is the responsibility of the participants to ensure they have adequate insurance cover for themselves and their own equipment.  

It is the responsibility of the participants to wear adequate clothing and appropriate sturdy footwear for the activity and to bring warm waterproof protection to allow for changes in weather conditions during the activity,

Participants are responsible for bringing an adequate personal supply of water for the walking part of the activity.  Unlimited fresh drinking water will be provided at the workshop base location. To reduce plastic we encourage participants to bring and fill on site their own portable drinks cups, flasks or back-pack water bladders to take out on the ambulatory part of the activity.

The participant must inform Green Island Studios at time of booking of any access requirements such as wheelchairs and any pre-existing medical conditions such as diabetes/heart conditions/epilepsy that may affect the participant's ability to participate in outdoor walking and mild exertion.

The participant understands that bookings are accepted on the understanding that all safety regulations imposed by the workshop leaders and venue are observed and that the client is responsible for their own actions during the walks.

The participant accepts that Green Island Studios is not under any liability whatsoever in respect of loss or damage to personal property not caused by the negligence of the company or its representatives.
